This Venus bust began as a simple solid-white resin sculpture before I gave her an entirely new personality.
She has been hand-finished in a soft cottage white with layers of subtle gray aging that bring out the sculpted details. Her rose and leaves have just a whisper of faded ballet pink and muted green, while a pearl collar and tiny pearl earrings add a little softness.
The black masquerade mask was made by hand specifically for this piece and permanently attached. I love how something so simple completely changes her—still classical and romantic, but now with just a touch of mystery.
Perfect tucked among old books, collected treasures or anywhere that calls for something a little unexpected.
