Welcome to Bohemian Bee

Hello, and welcome! I'm Kimberly, the artist, curator, and collector behind Bohemian Bee, a small business nestled just outside New Orleans in Jefferson, Louisiana.

I've always been drawn to things with history. Whether it's a forgotten antique tucked away on a dusty shelf, a well-loved piece of décor waiting for a second chance, or an overlooked treasure at an estate sale, I've never seen them as worn out—I see the beauty they still have and the stories they still have left to tell.

What began as a love of forgotten treasures eventually became Bohemian Bee.

Some pieces begin as brand-new décor that I artistically transform through hand painting and embellishment. Others are vintage or previously loved finds that I refinish, repurpose, or reimagine into something entirely new. And sometimes I discover an antique that's already perfect just as it is. Every piece is carefully chosen because it speaks to me, and I hope it will speak to someone else as well.

I believe the most beautiful homes are collected over time rather than decorated all at once. They tell a story through meaningful pieces, beautiful imperfections, and objects that have been loved across generations.

My style naturally reflects that philosophy. I love layers, old wood, faded finishes, beautiful imperfections, and pieces that look as though they've been gathered over a lifetime instead of purchased in a single afternoon. My hope is that when you visit Bohemian Bee, it feels less like shopping and more like wandering through your favorite antique shop, discovering something unexpected around every corner.

Every piece at Bohemian Bee passes through my hands before it reaches your home, whether I've artistically transformed it or carefully selected it for its history, beauty, and character. Because I work with vintage, antique, and thoughtfully selected décor, no two collections are ever exactly alike. While some designs can be recreated with a similar style or finish, every piece remains uniquely its own.

As a one-woman business, I personally source, transform, photograph, package, and ship every order. I also include a handwritten thank-you note because I believe kindness, attention to detail, and old-fashioned customer service never go out of style.

Thank you for visiting Bohemian Bee and supporting my small business. Whether you've found an artistically transformed piece, a vintage treasure, or simply stopped by to browse, I'm truly grateful you're here.

I hope you find something that makes your home feel a little more like yours.
