Hand Painted Silver Plate Teapot

This substantial Wm. Rogers coffee pot has been completely reimagined as a decorative vessel for the home.

I hand painted the entire exterior in a soft, muted sage-gray, then used layered metallic finishes to bring out the beautiful details of the ornate handle, spout, hinged lid, trim, and decorative feet. The contrast between the understated body and metallic detailing highlights the wonderful shape and character of the original piece while giving it an entirely new look.

At approximately 10 inches tall and weighing about 3 pounds, this is a substantial decorative piece with plenty of presence. Display it on its own or style it with faux or dried florals for an unexpected arrangement on a table, mantel, shelf, or entryway.

The original maker’s mark remains visible on the underside and reads Wm. Rogers with the number 800.
