I found this beautiful wood and glass display cabinet at an estate sale and gave it a gentle refresh while preserving the character and signs of previous use that make the piece so appealing.
It features a rich reddish-brown wood finish, double glass doors, three interior display shelves, decorative metal pulls and a removable arched crest. I refreshed the interior backing with a softly aged neutral finish that provides a beautiful backdrop without taking attention away from the original woodwork.
This cabinet offers two ways to display it. It can sit on a tabletop, dresser, console or shelf, or it can be hung on a wall. A hanging hook is attached to the back and is rated to support up to 50 lbs. Appropriate mounting hardware should always be selected for your particular wall type.
The decorative arched crest is removable and attaches with small pegs. The crest will be removed and carefully packed with the cabinet for shipping to help protect it during transit. It simply slides back into place upon arrival.
